Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of this dive spot yet. Not even a lot of local divers have. Though only about 70km away from the Philippines’ number one tourist destination, Boracay, Romblon remains a largely unvisited province, with proper diving facilities only recently set up. Thanks to the efforts of the three German-Filipino Eschweiler brothers—Peter, Philipp, and Patrick—the province’s portfolio of dive sites is growing. Their most intriguing discovery so far is a blue hole, an underwater sinkhole where divers can stare into a bottomless abyss.
