"Great backwaters"
Kumarakom Experience: If you enjoy cruising the backwaters then kumarakom is the place to be. The evening sunsets are magical. The destination is a little humid and that can be a bother sometimes.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Did not travel out of the resort at all. But seafood is a must try.
Activities & things to do: Sunset cruise is a must
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Personally take a day cruise on the house boat. I did not fancy staying onboard overnight as the boat is just anchored on bank. The easiest way is to fly to Kochi and take a taxi (about 2 hrs) or train to kottayam (half hour away).
