Tubbataha Reef National Park Sulu Sea, Palawan

10 dive destinations - Tubbataha

Tubbataha Reef National Park
Sulu Sea, Palawan
Tubbataha is both a national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it is a hotspot of biodiversity—perhaps unmatched in the world. With over 600 fish species, 360 coral species, 11 shark species, and 13 dolphin and whale species, Tubbataha is more than just a valuable dive site, it’s an important part of the world’s underwater ecology. Divers lucky enough to land one of the limited slots on a liveaboard boat can enjoy multiple days of perfect diving. Though the trip carries a steep price tag (going for about US$3000 these days), many of the accredited dive companies are booked solid for months at a time.
