Dharamshala A Tourist Place

Dharamsala is an important hill town in Himachal Pradesh. It is located at the foot of Dhauladhar and has a magnificent view of snow peaks, deodar and pine forests and tea gardens. It also serves as the home of the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, who arrived here in the early 1960s. Dharamsala is divided into two distinct parts: lower Dharamsala, consists of most of the government offices, Schools, Hospitals and commercial areas. It also has a few tea gardens. Upper Dharamsala is known as McLeod Ganj. It is home to the Tibetan community and the centre of tourist activity. This place has been renowned as one of the best picnic spots in India.
