The illustrious Racecourse of Kolkata, reminds people of the British era and their landmarks in the heart of this city. It is one of the biggest horse race venues in India, which was constructed in 1820 and was looked after by the Royal Calcutta Turf Club.

Calcutta Racecourse is one of the major attractions of the Kolkata city because it has been a symbol of British rule over two centuries. Here the races are conducted in the months of July to September and from November to March. Generally it happens on Saturdays and public holidays. A glimpse of history, excitement, spirit of Polo and various games can be known by visiting this racecourse.
